Presidency Message

Greetings, Sisters!

As a presidency, we wish to express our love for each of you and our admiration of your continuous efforts. Many of our ANWA members are getting published, some for the very first time. This is a natural outcome of following the process needed to produce such exciting results. Number one is to write. Next, get a second and third, etc., opinion. This is where out online critique group becomes invaluable. Then, submit,. And keep on submitting. Be prayerful, teachable, humble, and tenacious, and you will surprise yourselves. I hope that all our sisters who wish to be published will find success this year.

ANWA would cease to exist if it were not for the countless hours that sisters in key positions donate to our group. We wish to thank Carrie Marsh for getting our newsletter out. She has been faithful at this for a long time. It's time to give her a break, and the editor's cap will be passed to Kerry Blair. We appreciate all of the hours Carrie has so graciously given us, and we welcome Kerry.

In speaking of the newsletter editor and her position, it must be stressed that this is OUR newsletter, and the editor RELIES on our contributions to fill the pages each month. Perhaps some of you are unaware that we hope you will recognize a topic in an up-coming issue that you may have some experience with, and write an article to be included in that newsletter. Each newsletter lists the topics for the months ahead. Please take note and give serious consideration to something you might have to say on the subject that would benefit the rest of us. When you see a topic that interests you, write your article and forward it to kerrylynnblair@aol.com. Please do this as soon as you see a topic you like, even if the newsletter it pertains to won't be coming out for a couple of months; just indicate the month it's intended for. All articles are due by the 15th of the previous month or ASAP afterwards. Many hands make the work light.

Also, please submit the minutes from your Chapter meeting in a timely fashion. This expedites getting the newsletter out in adequate time for the location of your next meeting to be received prior to that meeting. All minutes should be forwarded to Kerry.

We have many exciting activities coming up. ANWA is gaining recognition rapidly. Please continue to spread the word and bring new sisters to your meetings. Look for articles and announcements throughout this newsletter of things to come. We are having so much fun planning these things for you and appreciate your help and participation. We are already hard at work preparing for the Fall Writer's Workshop, among other events. Thanks to all of our members for making ANWA such a great organization to be in! We love you all!
