Presidency Message

The Anthology is Finished!

by Marsha Ward
ANWA Membership Secretary

Yes, it's true. The long, drawn-out process has come to an end, and the ANWA Anthology is now ready to be ordered.

The project began in 1996 or 97, and has carried over through several ANWA presidencies and various publication plans, but now it has ended up being a handsome, 8 ˝ x 11-inch white velo-bound volume with clear plastic over the front cover photograph of a hot air balloon by Angela I. Neilson.

The earliest manifestations included a theme of "The Many Faces of Womanhood." Contributions dribbled in, but not enough to make a book. After many pleas for more essays, short fiction, and poetry, and a change in focus, the number of entries was deemed sufficient, and the editing began. Many members worked on the process, including Theresa Sneed, Stacy Brown, Janette Rallison, Joan Sowards, Kerry Blair, Jeni Grossman, Linda Whiting, and Delsa Anderson.

Now, you can order your copy of a sampling of the work of ANWA members, past and present. See the order form in the newsletter.

Many thanks for your patience with me as I tried to find the time to finish off the Anthology. Thank you! It is a reality now, and your long wait is over. Enjoy it!
